I went to all three nights of the autumn poetry reading series. The last night was at the stone cross, a place I knew but had never heard referred to as such. It is near El Quinque (the lamp), an excellent restaurant quite near the posada.
I attended all three nights of the series which was conducted in the same manner as the Favorite Poem Project (favoritepoem.org), a project of former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky.
And, despite my fear over my Spanish, in particular my pronunciation of two of the poem’s words, I read. It felt nice to share. I was happy to have been a part of the listening and speaking audience.
