We spent Thursday morning enjoying the beach at Anaeho’omalu Bay (A Bay), near the Waikoloa Marriott. The white sands of this bay are decorated with lounge chairs and palm trees. Snorkelers, sunbathers, and people interested in water sports (kite surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding) are found long into the evening as are sea urchins, sea turtles, and districts of fish.
In the morning, we watched a man flying a large kite from the water, and just before noon, we cheered as we saw him sailing across the water with the same kite he’d been testing the winds with. Even from the beach, we could see how powerful the wind is – and the man who was working to lasso it.
