peeking in 1

Before photo class, we always go through the dozen or so photos I have taken throughout the day: a car with a sticker that says, “Enjoyneering;” a photo shoot of an ant; a stand selling necklaces; an altar I saw in a store; and two pictures of an impeccable home.

In the living room of the home, the sofas are covered with white sheets, an altar predominates the room (as a television would in the US), and a doll, a nun doll, sits on one of the couches. This is the peculiar dwelling of some storybook character, some woman (I think a woman) I can only imagine.

And, Mateo inquires, “How did you get these pictures?” and can’t begin to hide his shock as I say I was peeking in her window.
