I am back to teach with Fundacion En Vía, a group dedicated to micro lending, education, and responsible cultural tourism. As it turns out, they have a campaign to raise money for a much-needed van, and, though the donation is not tax-deductible, you can make a huge difference by even sending a small amount. Hello!

Since 2008, volunteers from all of over the world have joined us in our efforts to fight poverty in Oaxaca through microfinance, tourism and education. The contributions of time, energy, and knowledge that each of you made during your time with us have greatly contributed to the growth of the program. You have all played such a crucial role in our organization. Now, we need your help from afar!

Here is the exciting news – we just launched a campaign on the crowd-funding site, Indiegogo, to buy a van for En Vía! The goal is to pool contributions from our friends, families, supporters, and soon-to-be supporters to do something that will have a huge impact on our organization! By buying a van we will decrease our administrative costs by 10%. We will also be able to run more tours a week, allowing us not only share our work with more people, but also allow us reach more women than ever.

We will be running the campaign for 45 days, starting TODAY! I hope that you will support us!

Making a donation
We launched the campaign today! It is very important that we start the campaign with momentum. Almost all campaigns that reach their target, receive donations on the first day.

By being a member you can create your own page and reach out to your contacts in a more personal manner. More people, more power! Just let me know and I can add you as a team member.

Spread the word
Share the campaign link with friends, family, colleagues, etc. We’re talking about everyone and anyone you know. Especially, those with interests in development work, microfinance, travel, and/or education! The more we spread the campaign through Facebook, Twitter, email, etc. the greater traction we get, and the more likely our campaign will be selected as a featured campaign on the homepage, blog and email blasts of Indiegogo. Introducing our campaign to many people!

We are very excited about the progress that we have been able to make. We look forward with anticipation to what we will be able to accomplish in the years ahead.
