Ok, so I picked up the tablecloth (posts about the arcoiris in January) from the artist, and it has browns and an earthy red; it has variegated stripes (some beige and a color). Most importantly, it is NOT a pastel rainbow with uniform stripes as the first couple were.
The first man I spoke with found my anecdote incredible, was incredulous when I mentioned it started six months ago. After I explained that someone was supposed to send an email and didn’t, he went to find a woman who recognized me immediately and delivered the fabric as if we had an appointment for which I’d kept her waiting.
The design isn’t exactly what I had in mind (what is?), but it is a beautiful interpretation, and it definitely contains a story. A story I decided not to prolong or complicate.
