It is nochebuena here, and the city, which normally celebrates everything everywhere with everyone invited is slowly closing. By five, the cafe where I sit this will be closed. Most restaurants, shops, services will also be shuttered (or already are). The streets will get more than Sunday quiet as workers retreat to their families for intimate dinners and quiet time. Oaxaca will not open up again until Wednesday.
I will head to Mexico City tomorrow to see what the big city has to offer in the form of holiday celebrations.
