When I read this article, I was both delighted and disappointed. Hooray and how is it that Mexico has figured this out and we haven’t?
The article, at one point, states: “Mexico is a country of liberties, and, in Oaxaca, the institutions will not be a barrier of discrimination or criminalization.”
The article explains that weddings between persons of the same sexes opens up possibilities and that this is a matter of human rights.
How much longer must we wait?
