This dog was getting a ride as these young people were headed to the cemetery to deliver flowers to graves. They stopped for the photo, even trying to get Fifi to pose for me. Just as I snapped, she leapt for the road. They were able to promptly scoop her up and head on their way.

At six, in the middle of cornfields outside of the cemetery, there was a mass. Children sang, the community prayed together, people waited to visit the graves of their dead. Airin, our guide, wanted to take us to see the grave of her lost angel. I wasn’t sure if this was something I wanted to see, but I said nothing. She changed her mind. We headed back to her workshop.
