I have seen these stairs a couple of times, but I never actually paid attention to them or even to the candy shop they lead to until the other day. I thought I saw the stairs featured in a magazine. And I had. A bride was sitting on them in her wedding gown for a photo shoot that, according to the article, is growing in popularity. It is called: trash the dress, and it involves photography of the bride in the dress in extreme conditions: a dirty stairwell, a crowded subway (in Mexico City), even underwater.
The article suggested that one of the reasons for the growing popularity of these photos is that many women have the opportunity to live their dream of being a fashion model through them. And, I guess the pictures do leave an impression.
