At first I thought this little businessman had on a cape.

More interested in flinging mud with a plastic spoon or shooting things with a piece of elastic he found on the ground, he was enjoying a break from the grind of selling candy and, when that fails, asking for a peso or two or the last spoonful of whatever remains.

As I was wondering what kid of superhero he was when a part of his hunchback (which I’d determined to be a backpack) began to move and tiny feet wiggled out.

He was carrying his newest brother, no more than six months old. His mother, right next to him, helped him swaddle this third son before repositioning the second on her own back. Break over, the four of them headed back to work.
