After the March in memory of the massacre on October 2, the city is busy trying to erase the graffiti on the churches, in the streets, on people’s cars and garages.

As I entered the garden to the Instituto and saw our sign and gate with these messages, I felt sad. When I saw the words on Santo Domingo, the iglesia (church), I only could wonder why some would choose this ugly scrawling way to remember the dead.

Then, I saw one man painting a fantastic mural over the graffiti, making the street even more beautiful.
